Easy DIY Christmas Card Ideas To Make in 2023

I love making my own Christmas cards every year. It is a great way for me to develop my art skills and get creative and do something special for family and friends. I have pulled out every art supply I own this year to brainstorm some fun DIY Christmas card ideas. I would love to take you readers through my DIY journey this year. 

DIY Christmas Card Idea 1: City Lights and Christmas Vibes

This card was made using Mont Marto Dual Tip Art Markers and some leftover glitter paint.

1. I started off by making the buildings with marker and filling them in with with colour, adding some windows and glitter to show warmth and life inside.
2. Next, I made my ornaments. This was so fun to make and is inspired by the ornaments on my tree this year. Some glitter here helped brighten them up. 
3. Next, I added the purple night background with the same marker set. 
4. Finally, I added some snow with white paint a toothbrush. 

Voila!

DIY Christmas Card Idea 2: Christmas Wreath

This DIY Christmas card idea is very very simple and easy. It looks complicated but this took me about 10 minutes.

1. I started off by drawing a circle with my brown marker. 
2. Next, I added the dark green leaves all around the wreath in one direction to make it look natural. I layered this with the light green leaves. 
3. Finally, I added the floral elements with the red marker and some more detail to the wreath with a dark brown marker to make the wreath look complete.
